Visual study methods in accounting

We live in the era of pervasive visuality: we consume imagery from our social media accounts to advertisements and corporate websites. So, this presentation will outline visual study methods in accounting research and identify types of visual research studies. I will also discuss examples of creative studies in accounting using visual methods and spice up this discussion with metaphors from the arts. I will encourage academics to look beyond accounting discipline barricades, discover novel research opportunities using visual methods, get creative juices flowing and craft research projects standing out from the crowd.
